After my class, I went to Powell Road to see what was happening. When I arrived NS L3J was at Weber Road and 576 was at Troyton. L3J was the first to show up and I shot it from the overpass.

Then 576 showed up soon after.

I heard U926 having hand brake problems at HV Cabin in Columbus, so I went over to Powell to catch it when it was back on the move.

I check the ATCS and NS 379 was at Milepost 26 on the Sandusky District, while I was just leaving Powell, but I was able to make it back to the overpass just in time.

Then I went to my camera club meeting in Worthington. On the way home, I was third back, stopped at the Worthington Road crossing. No train showed up, so I pulled off and decided to see what was going on with my camera and tripod on hand. It turned out that a CSX coal train had pulled up just far enough to activate the crossing. It pulled up 50 car lengths and then soon reversed 50 lengths. I have no idea what the crew was try to accomplish, but I got a cool shot of it.

NS 233 soon came up beside it, which made for a cool shot. By that time the CSX train was leaving, so I was surrounded by both trains, which was pretty cool.

I thought I saw another CSX train coming in the far off distance, but I needed to get home, so that concluded the day’s trains.
