This is an experiment for me, and a test of your patience, if I get it wrong!
Here is PM 1225 blasting along the countryside near Oakley, about to cross Epton Road.
It was a nice day to be out chasing the train, but it was cold and windy. I headed for home around 2 PM because it was getting colder and windier, and the sky had turned gray.

great picture of classic winter steam railroading...good job
i hate the interstate and the infernal combustion engine
nothing is sweeter then the smell of coalsmoke in the morning
"hey are you waiting for a train too?"

Nice shot John...i got them on that 10am run on Saturday at the next crossing north, Johnstone Road. Hard to keep up with them well in the morning with all the ice..

Excellent shot John. What a way to capture the scenery on a cold day with some good steam action.

Thanks, guys. The sky was right, the temp was right, the wind was right... It all came together this time.
