To be honest the far left window might be broken or could be really dirty or frost in the cab the other two window looks like someone was playing Dirty Harry and shot the punks with a .44

These are pictures of the "new" mother slug team. Just resized them.

Wow that slug looks awful! Both could use a nice coat of YN3.

Personally I liked the MP15 it had a sense of style with that new inner city look CSX was going for...

Come to think about it I would rather see the MP15. That GP35 Roadslug it looks like it had a bad case of acne

What a beautiful set of engines. Yeah, they're a little weather-beaten, but that paint scheme is becoming more and more unique in a sea of blue and gold units. It's one reminder of a time when CSX was far more colorful than it is today (with Chessie, Family Lines and early CSX paint schemes all floating around). Here's hoping they don't see the blue and gold for quite some time!

Couldn't agree more... leave 'em in the current paint... tired of the sea of blue and gold... what a nice looking set.

Was the locomotive in question leading or in trail? If it was leading, the windows weren't broken or cracked, unless it had just happened. Engines with broken window glass are NOT allowed to lead as that is an FRA non-complying condition. They can be used for power, but in trail only.

Practice Safe CSX

Yes, SOO 6059 with the broken windows was trailing.

So wait, was that slug set on Y107? I think even more rare than the Scheme 4 GP35 slug with yellow noses is the GP40-2 mother in Stealth/Scheme 4 paint with yellow ends AND yellow side sills. Not too many locomotives of any class still out there on CSXT with that paint job. It really is a blast from the past! Anyone know if that set is still there? I might wander out to Plymouth later this week if it still is to try to catch some photos. Thanks!

Yeah, it should be around here for awhile. The only thing Nathan is that this type of power tends to go on D717 to Detroit in the late morning so that's your best bet to see this power running. Last month there was another Mother and Slug Set working Plymouth, but almost every single day they were running D717 to Detroit and back. Actually, I'm very suprised that they used this set on Y107 yesterday and not on D717.

Boy it shows theres not too much excitement in Plymouth these days to get this worked up over a locomotive.
