I didn't know that Baldwin switcher was still at the grain elevator. Must have been hiding somewhere last time I came thru there, there was a blue EMD SW of some sort.

THE BALDWIN IS AT THE FAR S.W.CORNER OF THE PROPERTY. IT IS JUNK AND I WOULDN'T BE SUPRISED TO SEE IT SCRAPPED SOON.
THE BLUE SW IS ON THE SIDING IN FRONT OF THE PLANT [N SIDE BY THE MAINLINE].
IT IS JUST LEFT OF THE LONE HOPPER IN THE PIC ABOVE AARON AND THE BALDWIN.
AARON TOOK SEVERAL PICS OF IT --HE'LL PROBABLY POST THEM SOON.

Bunge Grain ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunge_Limited

They have elevators all over the place...here are the ones around MI that I can think of. They don't have any locations in MI.

Danville, IL (NS)
Decatur, IN (CFE)
Delphos, OH (CFE)
Homer, IL (west of Danville on NS)
Catlin, IL (west of Danville on NS)
Waterloo, IN (NS)
Bellevue, OH (NS)
Kankakee, IL (NS)

Thanks Tops.

BTW, When we were on the Bridge in Butler We talked about why there was NEW rail ready to go in when the track was just replaced.

Scooter B. Photo:

I got to thinking. The new track that was just put down was most likely track panels. Lots of extra welds for the distance but it gets you up and running.

They may want to lay proper rail lengths to get rid of some of the joints.

Just a thought.

I think the recently sold one in Jeffersonville, OH when they partnered with Sabina Farmers Elevator at one in Sabina, OH. Read something about it but don't recall details.

It isn't completely junk... it would need a lot of work, but it could be restored. The Elkhart Museum was interested in it, but NS set too high of a price to transport it, so there it sits. No plans to scrap it, so it will probably sit for a good amount of time.
