It's a Soo Line ex-Milwaukee GP40 and it's heading on eastbound ethanol train K644 to an ethanol plant to the east. Should be heading back west in a few days.

Looks like all the Milwaukee Road lettering weathered off with the "bandit" patches.

Most all the Bandit paint jobs remaining look like this, but perhaps not quite this bad. I wouldn't think CP would want to send this Soo unit out and about where it could be seen. Working local and yard jobs is one thing.

CP (let alone most Class I's) can and will send any power anywhere at any time. Nature of the railroad. When you need power for a train, it doesn't matter what an engine looks like.
