Here is the lastest off the cutting room floor. Footage taken from this past weekend off the Michigan Air Line. All footage was taken with permission from the MAL, and all safety procedures were followed.

What "bigger railroad" does this line interchange with? I've never even heard of it... :?: :?: :?:

Nice footage, James. I'd still like to see how that maroon paint looks in the sunshine, though. Too bad you weren't on the other side of the tracks.

Good to see 725 still there. I thought that unit was sold and shipped away a while ago.

Interchanges with CSX in Wixom. It is the old Coe Rail line. Last remaining customer is American Plastic Toys that received 50ish cars of plastic pellets in 2010. Line has been approved for abandonment.

There should more than 3 of them there. I'm thinking 7.

At that point just off to the right (and you can barely hear the squeal of tires) a Ford Ranger almost ran right into FEC "Fort San Marco" and the MAL crewman who was riding on the side.

I added this as I do not want people accusing me of trespassing when I had permission and was with a railroad official. MAL does not like trespassers (such as a group of women and 3 small children who were taking photos on the ROW in front of the approaching train, or 2 scrappers that were prowling around the yard while we were filming looking for anything of value).

I thought the same thing when I saw a train emerge from a field of weeds and woods, and disappear back into the weeds across the street.
