Ep. 469: C&O For Progress! Caboose on CSX Local Train

March 25, 2016 - Departing westward from CSX Wyoming Yard, it's D700 with 9 cars plus GLLX 3308, a restored caboose adorning the classic "C&O for Progress" logo.

The cab is heading for the West Michigan Railroad down the line in Hartford, which was recently purchased by the same party who owns GLLX. Prior to this move, the cab was stored in Manistee on Marquette Rail, which was also previously affiliated with GLLX, before the RA and G&W takeovers.

Chasing them west, we've got scenes at Grandville, Hudsonville, and then pacing into Zeeland past the Defect Detector to capture this interesting move on the Grand Rapids Subdivision.

Consist:
- CSX 2630 [GP38-2]
- 1 scrap gon [for Padnos Holland]
- 1 CH [for Harlem Elevator]
- 2 scrap gons [for Padnos Holland]
- 2 tanks [for Michigan Shore]
- 2 CHs [for Michigan Shore]
- 1 tank [for Michigan Shore]
- GLLX 3308 [Caboose, for WMI RR]
Location/Time:
- CSX GRT Sub, Grandville, MI, 28th St overpass, on 3-25-16 at 8:43 EDT
- CSX GR Sub, Hudsonville, MI, 40th Ave xing, at 8:57
- Zeeland, along Washington Ave/DD19.1, at 9:05

Thanks for sharing. never thought I'd see a caboose on the end of a train again.
