While on a nice afternoon trip I checked the signals on the CSX Saginaw Sub at Munger Road, and the signals showed a clear indication for a southbound. Keeping close to the line in hopes of nabbing the train, I noticed that the CSX signal guarding the diamond in Holly was clear (it usually turns green once the train is close by). Sure enough, it didn't take long:

Not long afterwards, I noticed the signals in Fenton indicated a southbound would be here soon, and sure enough, after following the line to Smith Road near Gaines, I ran into 502 with a single CN leader:

Great catches! Never ventured up to Holly until recently when A451 had a BC Rail and a duo of cowls back in February. Sadly, the cowls were removed once A451 got to Pontiac Yard. After it passed through, Q322 came north on a creep. Definitely a nice spot to hang for what little could be running on the two lines.

Thanks! Holly is definitely a great place to wait for and watch trains. If you end up there again, I recommend stopping at Red Devil. Good food and their outdoor patio is right next to the Saginaw Sub (with the Holly Sub in eyesight).
