Its a minature train, wheels are probably around 6" wide, and the video probably distorts the track a little but it still is funny to see it pull around 15ish cars over that track.

Look at the wheels from the front (not the side). They look thicker than ones I'm accustomed to seeing. Much harder to derail with more wheel area to make contact with the rail.

Track looks like it wasn't repaired after 15 zillion tanks ran over it during WWII.

Just goes to show you what a flanged wheel can negotiate just as long as the rails are the same distance apart...

Ah, I see now. They do look pretty wide.

Looks like temporary tracks for an industrial railroad - there are still parts of the world that do that sort of thing (Like the Irish Peat Bog railways). Temporary tracks get quickly slapped down on barely graded ROW's to extract materials and then pulled up and re-layed elsewhere when one area's played out. Speed doesn't matter - carrying bulk materials to feed into the normal rail network does...

According to the translation it services a "peat farm" in one of the Baltic states where it is still common practice

Yeah, I wondered about that since I noticed sections of the track moving as the train rolled closer to the camera.

Looks like the Caterpillar sales rep needs to stop by with a proposal for a couple of 740 off-road dump trucks.
