I've seen plenty of "old" accountants, doctors & lawyers etc. (i.e. into their 70's or 80's+ and this is getting *more* prevalent since the stock market's been in the toilet the last dozen years) One of the founders of my company is in his 90's and still on the board. However when I think of professions with "long term" employees one that jumps to my mind is "College Professor" where Tenure tends to equal "lifetime employment"...CSX_CO wrote:Farming? My dad starting working in the insurance industry right out of college. He just turned 83 this past June and has yet to retire. I think that makes about 61 years for him.
