As gas prices continue to climb ever so higher, it always amazes me (especially in this state with rampant unemployment) how a lot of people just keep on acting like were back in the good ole days before the recession. Gas could be $8 a gallon and come memorial day weekend, I75 will still be lined with huge motor homes that are lucky to reach 9 mpg coasting down a hill. Unfortunately, this situation probably have to get worse before things improve. As long as the oil companies know people are still willing to drop $100 or more for a tank of gas, don't look for the situation to change.

I don't think it's a question of "willing to drop $100 to fill up".

It's just having to spend that to get back and forth to work and the store.

Meanwhile the oil companys quarter after quarter proudly announce RECORD PROFITS!!! As WE have TO PAY record prices, anyone else see a connection to RECORD GREED?

Its an excellent time to have no social life lol. The thing that gets me is back last year, I had a low paying job, a 95 F-150 that got like 8 mile per gallon and a leaky tank. A girlfriend who i hung out with nearly every night and i spent my whole pay check on gas. Now i got a car that gets 15-18 mpgs and hardly go anywhere and single thank god. :P
