That is South Lyon and Salem, and I was really hoping you'd have trouble with Salem.

Salem and Green Oak are always safe bets for wooded, hilly, curvy CSX trackage in that area...

I think I know the spot but unfortunately don't know all the railroad names around Grand Rapids.

Perhaps MQT is correct with ACME lead.

On mine, not the Acme lead, but it's basically where the old roundhouse was in Wyoming Yard. Got a ride around with a conductor there 10+ years ago and snapped this. Here's a link to the spot: http://binged.it/1edZd99

For Jetlinks, guessing on the west side of Middleton? Never been there before, but just based track layout, taking a stab at it.

Nope. Here is the first (and most very useless) hint: Both photo's are taken from the exact same spot. It is a road grade crossing. One is looking one way down the line and the other is looking 180 degrees the other way.

You are very close Z but not quite there. All though some would argue you are correct on a technicality.

Oh duh...really meant Carson City.. I know the tracks still go there and don't end at Middleton, that's just where GLC stops operating and turns over to that group that runs speeders up and down the line, Sweet Line Railroad. Should have looked at map more closely

Figured it was somewhere that you ride your bike near.
