Here's a new one, for a hint I'll try the compass for now.

I'd be interested in knowing the history of this place as it appears to have had much more infrastructure in the past than it does now.

You were correct about Brighton. Good job.
And your photo is 8 Mile west of South Lyon

GTW that is correct!
I was surprised to find out what you might see in that small body of water. Here is a photo taken in almost the same spot.

I was searching Google Earth yesterday for locations like the Saginaw River shot that had a railroad feature, body of water, and can be seen with Street View. Here is another I found.

This would appear to be the East side of the North end of Otsego Lake along Old US 27 south of Gaylord with the LSRC former MC line in the shot.

59,
I've been looking at this on and off all day. I don't see a line that angles to the SW that goes to Detroit near any park. How about another clue. :)

Thought about that because of the long time before any response, so I'll say it's located east of I-275. :)

Looks like it will be CR crossing Van Horn Rd. near Oakwoods Metro Park . I was thrown by the " Major Park", but another hint and some time I found it . Fun.

You must be the first to PM me with the correct answer, just posting in the thread will not count. General area is not good enough. I want at least the nearest town and the road\highway that crosses the tracks in the picture.

Have fun guys!!!

Congrats CNW8835 on your finding this crossing. Crossing us about 20 miles south of Alice Springs Australia on the Stuart highway.

Holden st. near the Lodge freeway. Tho not abandon, there were 3 tracks up there at one time. Now just 2. That is Conrail's North yard branch and the track that is missing was the industrial track that serviced all of the industries that used to be between Scotten and Beaubien which include a connection with the GTW and the yard at Commonwealth.

I found it but M.D. beat me to the post.

Looks to me that there are 4 tracks in service with the first bridge just growing grass.
