Re: Where Is It?
Correct.
Anyone know the whereabouts of this caboose? It is at a private residence and can be seen from the main road.

Re: Where Is It?
It is not Saline. This is not a museum, it is just someone's house in a subdivision. Although it is near a rail trail.

Re: Where Is It?
New Hudson, by Pontiac Trail? The Michigan Air Line is less than a mile away to the east.

Good job Atrain
This one should be fun since I don't remember exactly where it is

Re: Where Is It?
Ha! There appears to be a well worn path just at the base of the stairs heading across the tracks.

Re: Where Is It?
You're on Norman Street in Saginaw. The bridge crosses the tracks going east out of the north end of the Lake States yard. The image location is pretty much the corner of Casimir (spelling?) Street and Norman Street.

Re: Where Is It?
GreatLake Railfan is exactly correct! It's the pedestrian bridge over the H&E Railroad, east of the north end of the LSRC Saginaw Yard, looking south. The building just on the other side of the track and the trees, is Arthur Eddy K-8 Academy which is part of the School District of the City of Saginaw, Saginaw County. The street in the foreground is Norman St and the dead end street just to the left where the yellow sign with the black doubled arrow on it, is Casimir Street and the academy is located on Cathay Street on the other side of the track. The kids are using the pedestrian bridge to get to and from that school.Michael wrote:Quick find GreatLakeRailfan

Holland, looking east on E. 111th Street toward Lincoln Avenue and the Kruizenga Art Museum is behind the photographer's current position. The pedestrian crossing is south of E 10th Street and west of Lincoln Avenue and west of the dead end of E 11th Street. west of Lincoln Avenue. The pedestrian crossing with the CSX/Amtrak Line. Amtrak trains 37/371 operating with GR and Chicago with stops in Holland (train 371 mornings from GR to CHI and train 370 evenings from CHI to GR) all in Holland, Holland City School District, Ottawa County.

It's a good spot for photos! I assume there were once more tracks going east under that bridge.GreatLakesRailfan wrote:You're on Norman Street in Saginaw. Re: Where Is It?
I knew about the school but looking at the street view it looks like kids probably just walk across the tracks rather than walk the bridgeGreatLakesRailfan wrote:There's a school on the other side of that bridge.Michael wrote:Quick find GreatLakeRailfan
