Well, today I went on a quest to see huritaj...and this one showed up and stopped for pics.
Actually I wanted to railfan this weekend but Lake Michigan covered us with clouds and scattered rain showers, and since it was clear today, I headed down to IN to see some trains in good light.(I totally forgot about the Circus Train until it was too late...and found out it had departed Elkhart around 4:30pm...I could have made it there on time.

Anyways, not having been online since last night, I didn't know this heritage unit was coming, and caught it by dumb luck. And there was a train stopped at CP 448 ahead because of track work, and it was basically single main from CP 448 to CP 460 or wherever the next crossovers are, and the train with NS 1071 stopped short of Smilax Rd. and sat for about 15 min, allowing me to get some good pics.
I then went over to CP 448 when they left.
