Wabash Street looking westbound just east of Huron River Road in Romulus, Wayne County. CSX local freight switch the Home Depot Warehouse. West off the connection with the CSX Flint-Toledo main line just south of Northline Road.

Re: Where Is It?
Probably an easy one. The bridge over this spot in the river was probably removed in the 1980's.
Some of the old ROW is now used for transmission lines

Sorry for the delay. Yes, this is Wabash St in Romulus; the spur to Home Depot. Was surprised to see another railfan show up at the same time!railrod1949 wrote:Michael wrote:It looks like Wabash Street in Romulus

Yes, indeed, its the Black River Canal that looking east towards Lake Huron with the Gratiot Avenue (former US-25) Bridge over the river in the background, in Port Huron, St. Clair County. The west end of the canal is at the Black River, just west of the 24th Avenue (former US-25A, now M-25) bridge. The old ROW was the former trackage of the PH&NW RR, later the C&O Ry. that ran between Port Huron and Croswell. Passenger train service between PH and Bad Axe was discontinued many, many years ago. That trackage itself between PH and Croswell was abandoned and ripped up in 1972.

The culvert is on the former ROW of the Traverse City, Leelenau and Manistique where M-22 crosses Belanger Creek between Suttons Bay and Northport.Michael wrote:Where is this old culvert?

Yes, it's the culvert used by the former Traverse City, Leelenau and Manistique Railroad ROW, later the Pere Marquette, later the C&O, The ROW crosses the Belanger Creek. M-22 (N. West Bay Shore Drive) can be seen in the foreground. Just south of Peahawbestown, just south of Mckeese Road, all in Suttons Bay Township, Leelenau County. Passenger train service between Traverse City and Northport was discontinued many, many years ago. Michael, actually it on the west shore of the Grand Traverse Bay. The segment of that trackage between Suttons Bay and Northport was abandoned and ripped up in 1995.

It looks like an sugarcane railroad and they still have some.
They also have quite a bit of google streetview coverage.
