Why yes it is. Cassandra has a pedestrian bridge on the PRR "West Slope". The bridge is an old highway bridge bypassed in the 30's. Narrow for vehicles even back in it's day but a good spot for railfans. The view is westward with Portage PA a mile+ in the distance.
Where Is It?

Re: Where Is It?
Those steps led to a building.
Those steps have been replaced in the same place but not by an identical copy.
So where is it?

Re: Where Is It?
I've never heard of a 947 area code so I looked it up and it crosses in many places with 248 and Troy is considered the major city.
So my next guess is Ferndale. Once I get the city right I'll start finding the street.

Re: Where Is It?
You're on the right track, pun intended.
Guess what was there for the win.
947 is an overlay for 248. That is why we had to go to 10 digit dialing.
947 was my mobile phone area code. Most junk callers didn't bother with it.

Re: Where Is It?
Ok so based on your hints I'll guess there was a station there but I'll keep looking for the street name

Somewhere in Livonia? One of the first areas I would think of. But no . It's in the 947 for a hint.

Vester Street , looking east toward the CN Holly Sub/Amtrak Line, just northwest of 9 Mile and Hilton roads in Ferndale, Oakland County. Only one Amtrak train run in each direction between Pontiac and Chicago thru Ferndale daily.AARR wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 7:34 pmOk so based on your hints I'll guess there was a station there but I'll keep looking for the street nameAARR wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 6:26 pmI've never heard of a 947 area code so I looked it up and it crosses in many places with 248 and Troy is considered the major city. Re: Where Is It?
The steps led to the old platform where GTW Commuter Trains used to stop.....
Re: Where Is It?
correct
http://ferndalehistoricalsociety.org/hi ... depot.html
So I got interested in the stations along the line.
While the station in Ferndale is usually stated as being on 9 Mile I knew that couldn't be.
I was able through the photo at the above link to find the streetview of the site.
But those concrete steps looked new.
Check the older streetview from 2012 and the original steps were there.
I would have to say the picture at the link isn't the first station to carry the Ferndale name.
But haven't found any other photos.

No, but Conrail would have serviced before 1999.

Must be either willing to visit or have at least one nice thing to say about the place in order to be called on.
This portion of the mainline that this spur connects to went to NS after the Conrail split. Conrail still has part of it
