My first one

You might be a rail fan if....
you have your own private rail crossing.

....If you go to work just to photograph trains

............. if you always have your camera and scanner with you

If you paint your vehicle in railroad logo colors ex. New York Central lightning stripe silver and black or yellow chessie cat

...you feel irritation when someone refers to a single abandoned boxcar in the middle of nowhere as a 'train'...

...you know the difference between a GE and an EMD and can explain the spotting features of each...

...When you always swing by the tracks while doing chores

...you can tell what loco it is just by hearing the horn....

............You intentionally try to get stopped by a train, then get mad at the crew when they try to wave you by.

…….run out of church during a wedding and try to get a picture of a train before it passes!

Note: it was the groom that ran out

you work for the railroad and at the end of the day, you watch as your blood pressure rises as you relive every detail.

that just made me think on one.

.........If you work for the railroad, and at the end of the day you chase your own train to get photos of it as the next crew takes it some where else.

...you have more pictures of the same 4 locomotives than of your family (ya know which 4)

...if you have rigged your head lights to flash left to right when you sound your car horn

...if you ask the zoning commisson if you can use a boxcar as a tool shed

...you looked at the price of high-rail wheels for your car (2grand)

...all of the engineers on a particular line know you and sound the horn at your house, miles away from a crossing

You have a railroad crossing signal and bell in your garage (and it's operational!)

..... when somebody ask you what train you saw and you tell them it was a GP38-2 leading a MOW train past MP 56.8 and they ask if you need to see a sycyatrist .

you take 60 pictures of one train and 2 years later, you Still don't know what to do with them
