Nope, can't be that; the only slack in a TC consist is between the engine and the lead bogey which has 'normal' couplers. Looks more like a VERY hard coupling and some sticky brakes that haven't released on the bogies underneath the trailers.

I used to run RoadRailers, I'd say they were shoving too fast or shoving to hard with brakes on. That's why we weren't allowed to shove RoadRailer equipment any faster than 10 mph. Or, depending on how much power they had, maybe too much engine (or dynamic) brake. Or, the one in a thousand bad trailer. LOL, possibilities are endless.

Now i know why NS is having so much success with roadrailers. Move goods as cheaply as possible in a cheap piece if equipment. :roll:

I dont know, but it looks like it will fit with in the 20'2" hight restrictions of a double stack. So heck just keep rolling, it looks like its still in one peice.

Maybe it an experiment if they can fold the cars like that they can get more on 1 train
