EXTREME TRAINS

Unread post by JANGAJONGA »

Who actually watched this show? I remember it being fairly entertaining, and to have a show like that on history was pretty cool. Thoughts, comments?

The operations themselves were interesting, but I thought the host was too hyper (I referred to him as Matt Hyper) and dramatic.

You really think mining for gold, driving trucks on snow covered roads and chopping down trees is all that exciting too?

All of these shows are full of drama that really does not exist or is manufactured. Sure there is some drama involved but more than likely it is 10 seconds of pure terror followed by weeks of boring tedium.

I liked the show. It was intereting to see something like this on tv. I understand why it was cancelled, though. There just wouldn't be enough viewers in my opinion.

TV is nothing it's cracked up to be... I've actually had to fake a phone call to Z to try to get on a reality TV show.... it was surprisingly difficult.
This is my life. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

If this is a problem get used to it.

If anyone here gets RFD-TV, every monday night at 6:00 pm they have a one-hour show called "Trains & Locomotives" that is usually vintage videos, and sometimes more current footage. I think it repeats at some really late hour like 4 am or something as well. Much better than the typical "commercial-TV- Reality-show-hype" that was "Extreme Trains". I mean, come on now, WHO are they trying to attract as an audience? 10 year-olds? Maybe...
But that's just my opinion.....

Personally I liked Extreme Trains and the energy the host brought to the show. Trains are boring to most people, had to spice it up somehow.
