I watched it. They did a long piece on Japans Bullet trains. 165 mph and no crashes. 300 trains a day, minutes apart!!!! Not to get too political, but the rest of the developed world is so far ahead of us in infrastructure, while we piss away our national treasury on endless wars and the military industrial complex Pres Eisenhower warned us about.

China and other countries also heavily subsidize rail transport, even to the tune of billions of dollars in some cases. My favorite little fun fact if you will is In the US Amtrak has gotten less in its life time than the highway systems gets in a year.

That's my point. Other countries subsidize and invest in their infrastructure, while half of our federal budget goes for wars.

Uncle Donald said this week we're going have one of the greatest military build ups of all time and cut the budget in other areas to pay for it.

It's gonna be a tough four years.
