Pere Marquette

While riding the Pere Marquette Rail Trail I wondered what part or parts were double rail or was it single track from MIdland to Clare? The same question could be asked of the segment from Clare to Reed City. Thanks!

The only controled sidings between Midland and Clare were the following:

Anderson starting at MP 22.1 @ 5420'
Coleman starting at MP 39.9 @ 4290'
Clare starting at MP 50.4 (west of the depot) @ 5410'

from Clare to Reed City
Lake starting at MP 62.5 @ 4140' Location of the former Coaling Tower
Evart starting at MP 75.9 @ 4460' there was also a Wye for turning Locomotives here @ MP 77.5
Reed City starting at MP 89.2 @4240'

All siding were on the north end of the main when traveling west with the exception of Reed city which was off the South side of the main. I have become an un-official historian of this line as i am compiling all the information I can on it to finish my HO layout
