Plymouth Diamond History

Are there any good books on the Plymouth Diamond or any sources of information on the Plymouth diamond? Or history of the Plymouth area focusing on the railroads?

Stitch,

Not a lot, but Google "Jerry Sundin" and "Plymouth Diamond".

There are a few interesting tidbits out there.

Not about Plymouth only, but there are some great books that feature Plymouth scenes and information along with more of Michigan and/or other parts of the C&O system. Try these:

Chesapeake and Ohio Railway in Color Volume 2 by Jeremy F. Plant & William G. McClure III

Chesapeake and Ohio Facilities in Color Volume 1 by Eugene L. Huddleston

Both have some great Plymouth photos and information.

Of course, the Chessie Chapter website has some excellent Plymouth information about operations, tracks, signals, and railfanning spots. Check this link: http://groups.msn.com/chessiechapter/chessiesroad.msnw

You can also google C&O and Plymouth or Chessie and Plymouth just to see what comes up.

If you need more or something specific, feel free to email me at chessiechapter@hotmail.com
