That will work I love pizza and a sponsor two for one.
A great photographer can make a great photo out of any kind of light from any angle at any time, life is not a studio! There is no such thing as bad light.

I too also heard about the test run the other day, and went to get some photos of the 1225. Here she is on her way back to the yard. Sorry it took so long to process them.

I should go find that 1225. Bound to be less people around it.

OK - with less than two weeks to go, does anyone know (and can share) the answer to this question?

I don't see on this (or any other) thread where anything other than "wait and see" has been put out. We all know (or should by now) the 4449's schedule which is publicized - why all the "secrecy" around the 765 positioning move? Surely they know when it's gonna happen...

(and no - I don't mean this engine: http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/albu ... 82007a.JPG)

I'm still going to use the wait and see approach for these boards.
But I will give a hint. The date HAS been publicized by a newsletter put out by a certain museum along the route....
Like we've said before--we'll all know when it's on the move. You can't hide 400 tons of steam and steel, even with a diesel.
And before you guys start complaining to me, I have to remind you that I am NOT representing any of the groups involved (FWRHS/SRI), and even though the details are in print, I still think it best that an actual representative post the official information here. Remember, the movement is dependent on the host railroads who may or may not wish for this date to be known.

I'm hearing some info that 765 may need the help of Plymouth's fire department to get a fill up on water on it's trip north.. said CSX were the ones in contact with the fire department, so maybe a route from Toledo through Plymouth to Ann Pere?
I'm hearing 765 arriving Owosso July 21st going straight through Durand.

When the 1225 was in Bay City the SRI hooked up to hydrant and had someone from the city water department meet them.

Ok once again to all the people who like to hide stuff. If it is already published, confirmed or not, why not tell. Hell makes me want to not tell anyone else anything anymore. How bout some help, as we are not all well informed gods.

Well if it does go CSX, Matt may have to work the board so he can get the call to pilot it.

In addition to that, quoted from the most recent TO post about the move:
From TO wrote: Date: 07/14/09 22:17
Re: OK, I'll ask the questions. About the NKP 765
Author: nathansixchime
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even after NS turns it loose it'll be towed by the next carrier. The very last leg of the trip will be near or in darkness outside Owosso.
Furthermore - the "water stop in Plymouth" source noted above states:

"Apparently, this would take place on the CSX Saginaw line, south of Main Street. That said, it would appear that the 765 is coming up the CSX from Toledo to Plymouth"

Assuming that information is correct - then they'd have to make the turn in Butler and come through Toledo - the only question then becomes would they transfer to CSX at Alexis in North Toledo (most logical) or via the Miami Cut (would also work) and when. Either way, I feel a "long lunch" coming on next Tuesday... 8)

Michael

(Now ideally I just need updates next Tues AM of when it leaves or when it hits Butler...)

Could also back around the connection at St. Joe and get on the CSX there too for the trip to Toledo. Somewhat amazing its even going to get onto CSX considering how anti-steam CSX normally is.

Practice Safe CSX

True enough! That would be pretty cool - 765 through Deshler (bet there's a few people who'd like to see that!)
