I have know there are a few spur lines in just south of the Birmingham train station on the Holly Sub. They have been used for as long as I can remember(10 years.) Does anyone know if these are still used? and if so, what train makes the drop offs and pick ups?
Thanks

If I remember right, those were ripped out awhile back. I may be wrong though...

That was the Birmingham yard, I know the spurs I am talking about were in operation in May of this year.

I think I read the spur to the plywood place on the west side of the main may still get a car now and then. All other spurs that i know of are gone or not used anymore.

Looking at Maps Live it appears there's only one spur there now.

I will head over there tonight and see if there is anything there.

There is nothing at all there but roadbed. All the rails are gone. The switch is removed. There is nothing there.
Re: Local Drop Offs in Birmingham
I went up there tonight, the train track and loading dock is all still there, no train cars or anything. I wasn't able to walk down to see if the switch was still there because it was pouring rain.
Re: Local Drop Offs in Birmingham
The switch to this spur was pulled when CN put down the CWR on #1 last year.
