George, James Chesaning, MI Passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso. Age 58 years. He was born on October 10, 1951 in Madras, India, the son of George Thomas and Kunjumma George. Jim married Judy Sexton on May 22, 1982, she survives him. Jim was the owner and operator of the Lake State Railway Company and Saginaw Bay Southern Company. Jim was larger than life and loved life, especially his family and his hunting camp. His lifelong passion was his railroad. He was a very avid hunter and outdoorsman. Surviving is his wife, Judy, three daughters, Natalie, Julie and Kelly George,his mother, Kunjumma George, his sister, Sally Jacob and brother, Thomas George. He was preceded in death by his father,George Thomas Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 W. Brady Rd. Chesaning, MI. Rev. Norman Beckwith will officiate with burial in the Arthur Township Cemetery, Clare. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. http://www.Wmartinfuneralhome.com

Thanks for posting, Kelly. The obit doesn't really tell us much. Was he in poor health? Do we know what caused his passing? I'm shocked at the suddenness of this and am curious if anyone knows what happened.

He was a nice guy, and like the article said, he was an avid hunter. He even had a shooting range set up in one of the abandoned hallways of the office up in Saginaw.

It was reported he died of natural causes. At 58 that's not natural...

Came out of bariatric surgery. (Lap-Band). Was alert and talking then had a heart attack.
He was a very nice guy and good at his job.
