Ham Operators?

Would love to get a ticket. I'm not much of a study by book person so if there was another way to prepare for the test I'd like to know.
I used to get paid for doing what all of you like to watch!

While not a ham myself, I knew a guy named Walt Wilson who was a tower operator for NYC/PC/CR and retired about 1993 or so. He was/is a ham. K8AEM. I'd be curious if anyone here has had any recent contacts with him. Tell him Todd Cline said hi.
