Are you sure Mike? Because CSX power with DETX cars are from St. Clair (via Port Huron) and should not be an E951. E951 is the BNSF Essexville (Usually CEFX) empties and would go back to BNSF in Cicero,IL. Are you sure it wasn't an E851 or somewhere along the lines of that? Usually DETX empties are an E800-series symbol.conrailmike wrote:Yep, E951-08Brian wrote:E951? By Plymouth 9:34 csx 4581 908 130 Detx Cars

Yes Chris, I know. He was pretty clear over the radio when he called the signal. He was also on the radio talking to someone about permission through work limits. Didn't make sense to me either...Chrisracer8903 wrote:Are you sure Mike? Because CSX power with DETX cars are from St. Clair (via Port Huron) and should not be an E951. Re: CSX MI Train Location Update 3-9-10
A few things first Chris you are wrong about the CEFX cars on Consumers Trains...they are CPOX/FSTX/WSTX/NSTX/ESCX/PSTX for the most part..you may get a rare CEFX car thrown in to replace a bad order in the set from Alliance but that is usually the only case....
Second if you have been paying attention to the last few empties out of Flint...they have not all been E951s and several have run with CSX power because the BNSF power is turned right away to come south as the BNSF wants the power back returned and not held and used on CSX trains..hence 2 empties ran with 4 units in the last week or so and then then other 2 empties ran with CSX power
Last as of last night there was 2 E trains planned..one of them was a empty St Clair and the other a Essexville...wont be able to get a symbol on this train until after work if its really needed?

Re: CSX MI Train Location Update 3-9-10
It is not out of question because when I went to East Chicago on the CSS-freight last night you could only see less than 500-ft in front of you, had to call the RA-dispatcher to let us know when he had us lined up at Republic into the Yard.Bentrail wrote:Anyone here about 2 csx train hitting each other last night on the belt railroad?
It looked like an old movie out there with the soupy-fog.
