Sorry I am not a screener but Grainy, Bad angle, too much dead space are a few I can see.
Can anybody see why it would be accepted?

It's one of those artsy shots they've been rumored to be accepting more and more of. Might also be a reroute or something (not likely- I didn't pay that much attention to the captions). Is it a black and white shot as well? Oh, and they've also been rumored to practice favoritism...looking at the number of shots they've accepted from that submitter, well...

You become a member of the club on railpictures.net by being an elite member, or someone that pays a fee every month. That would help you out a lot I think.

I don't see a train...looks like it belongs on http://www.buildingphotos.net...ya like this one (it is a railroad but still)

I like it, actually. It needs a crop and the graininess is probably due to a high ISO. The morning light on the trees, along with the train snaking out of the fog make it a very mysterious looking shot. The b/w conversion works perfectly for it, too.Scooterb wrote:http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=168425

To me, I think the photo has a lot of interest, the fog, snow, and the way train snakes out of the fog...I think it looks pretty good!
And I agree with you all when you say "there is not enough light on the subject" or some crap like that! I do believe they have "favorite's" because I can't believe some people can get 700 or more pix on there and they really arn't that great.
My two cents...
