I wonder and this is just a thought, i would probably start getting more shots of the older power on CN never know this could replace some of them, like the SD40-2W's that were brought back out of storage.
Re: New Used CN Units
I love how people on there cant even tell the difference between CN and CP rail.
Now I see why I don't pay for train orders based on that top notch information.

Only time will tell. But either way, I'm excited to see a C41-8 in CN paint.MDH wrote:Wanna bet the roll around in that crappy patch job for a long time to come?

Re: New Used CN Units
With big, unsightly patches and hand-painted numbers like that, I'll bet these all get painted before seeing revenue service on CN. Just a hunch...
Re: New Used CN Units
They should hire some graffiti artists to do their patch jobs. I've seen better work on the sides of auto racks.Report this postReply with quoteRe: New Used CN Units

At least one has seen the paint booth. Not sure where they intend on using these things though.

Congrats on getting post 666 Mike!
I've heard some (if not all) will see DPU service. Also hearing about CN possibly picking up some of the stored/retired BNSF B40-8's and B40-8W's.

Re: New Used CN Units
Well by looking at that photo, I do not see the tell tale red light they have been using for DPU units on the rear of trains.I've heard some (if not all) will see DPU service.

Re: New Used CN Units
Well it was also missing it's numberboards and some other stuff, so it could still be added.
Who knows? I'd rather see them leading freights than being DPU only. The first one looks pretty good.

They just pulled it out of the paint booth guys, give them a few days to reattach all the hardware.

Send it over on NS 184! That train has gotten a sampling of most of their road power roster over the last few years...
The unit looks good though.

YES! Very Nice!
Here is the picture posted by MSchwiebert of this unit painted (in case nobody has seen on here yet)! I just thought it would be nice to have the picture displayed, so here it is! (I just discovered that pic today and think it looks great)
Let's hope this continues! We will have to wait and see if any venture out to Michigan! This is awesome! (that is all I can say)
