I say. What a pedandic and loony fellow that man was. It is an utter dissapointment that blokes like that stand on britannia in these times.
Re: Train Misses Target by Inches...
I see people getting that close to cars and trucks speeding by all the time...yet no one makes a big deal about that stuff.

Re: Train Misses Target by Inches...
The guy was an idiot! That said, why do British trains speed through stations, and occupied passenger platforms at that speed, with no bell, and no horn?

Because most people are smart enough not to stand on railroad tracks, duh!hoborich wrote:The guy was an idiot! That said, why do British trains speed through stations, and occupied passenger platforms at that speed, with no bell, and no horn?
Actually, from what I gather, trespassing ON the tracks in the UK is a bit of a rare thing. They have respect for the property lines, and probably helps that they have very few at grade crossings over there.

British Rails seem a lot safer than our own. Most of the right of ways are fenced in, there are few grade crossings, and they respect the dangers of tresspassing, as had been said.

There are TV shows dedicated to close-calls with vehicles. True TV is one channel that features video's of people nearly getting killed by vehicles.J T wrote:I see people getting that close to cars and trucks speeding by all the time...yet no one makes a big deal about that stuff.
