North and west from Youngstown. Just a handfull of miles off the Pa. boarder. CSX tracks make a huge turn from east west to almost north south. From the Pa side it is just a little norh and west from New Castle. It runs along a river, and is the sight of a former steel mill.

Exit 227 or 228, I-80
SE of Niles. W of Girard
Atlas not too detailed
Take exit 228 north to first main road, then go west on next main road, then north on next main road.
Now McDonald, MI on the other hand is easy.
I-94 exit 46, north through Hartford on C.R. 376, cross the Paw Paw River, then the CSX tracks, head north, go around the curve till and continue north until you get to 48th. If you turn here you can see DD66.2 If you like getting high, go east on this road and you will come to the Webster Hills area, 800 ft above sea level. You can get a bird's eye view of Van Buren County before dropping 100 ft or so down the steep hill east to C.R. 681.
Or continue north to 42nd Ave, turn right. When you cross the tracks, you are in beautiful downtown McDonald.
Don't blink or you'll miss it. Even if you don't blink, you still might miss it.

Re: Mcdonnald Ohio?
Do they actually use that large building as a shop, or is another company using that?

Just stopped by there yesterday with a couple friends. It was my first time being there, and seeing all the variety of power in person was pretty cool. You can also spot the WE GP35's that were recently pawned off to LTEX towards the back of the property behind some brush and vegetation.

Here's my view of the establishment:

Most of the photos I've seen use more telephoto, so I thought I'd go for a more wide angle approach.

Re: Mcdonnald Ohio?
Looks like most of NS's GP15-1s made it there. There also appear to be a few DM&IR SD-Ms there too. That BNSF slug looks like an antique. Wonder what the lineage of that E-unit is?
