Mi-Train
Re: Mi-Train
I'm all for upgrading the tracks after I rode the train earlier this month. There were 2 mile stretches of 25MPH running out between Jackson and Chelsea.

Re: Mi-Train
I rode it earlier this summer and the train backed into and out of the siding at Grass Lake for a meet. I would think it would be worth giving NS a modest dollar incentive to running their Jackson-Wayne train through the passing siding periodically to take care of the rusty rail conditions.
On that subject...how often does mainline rail need to have a freight train pass over it to prevent rusty rail?

Re: Mi-Train
I rode Amtrak on July 30 this summer and I guess we were lucky. We hardly slowed down and we didn't have any unscheduled stops at all between Chicago and Ann Arbor . Last time I rode Amtrak was in 1999 between Pontiac and Kalamazoo. Between Dearborn and Kalamazoo, we had to stop and wait 3 long times (I don't count through Detroit, it's always slow there). So this summer's trip was a pleasant surprise.

Re: Mi-Train
But MDOT has an other logo differ scheme colors than MDOT's scheme colors! http://www.michigan.gov/mdot/0,1607,7-1 ... --,00.html I think that cool about Michigan State Rail logo styles ("Plan" remove)... Why not Cuz of two trains trek lines styles than blue, green and silver were plain. Huh NoLSRC wrote:I see. I wasn't aware that the cities owned the station.
Since everyone was voicing their opinions on how "wonderful" the paint looks, I felt the need to voice my opinion on how I felt about the paint. I think a dark "State of Michigan" blue would looks great with a solid yellow nose and the State of Michigan emblem on the side...What is "wrong" with the paint scheme? If you have a better ( and cheaper) paint scheme, lets see it.

I came up with this one a while ago; this was before we knew they were using F59PHs; and I like the Bomb-BiLevels.

I remember seeing that a while ago and I do like it. If only MDOT and SEMCOG had the budget to duplicate what you've got there.....PerRock wrote:I came up with this one a while ago; this was before we knew they were using F59PHs; and I like the Bomb-BiLevels.

Saw the first one in Owosso today. Last move I saw they put it inside the high bay.
