Wow that is extreamly fast. I dont think I have seen it done faster then 15-20 Min a car, and I have seen lots of that action. There was a spot on the CMGN along the Saginaw River that they derailed there almost as often as the MAW does.MagnumForce wrote:Honestly it really isn't that hard to rerail a car, if you know what you are doing it can take as little as five minutes to get a car back on.

Re: MaW Daily Reports
Well I would guess it depends on how many axles are off. I have seen the MAW do one axle in about five minutes using nothing more then a few four by fours.

Took my daughter to a swim meet at the Defiance YMCA on Saturday and crossed the MAW at the SR 281 crossing and noticed that they have stored cars to the west toward the Manville plant. What do they do with them to get them "out of the way" when they go to Napoleon?

There's a siding there.MSchwiebert wrote:Took my daughter to a swim meet at the Defiance YMCA on Saturday and crossed the MAW at the SR 281 crossing and noticed that they have stored cars to the west toward the Manville plant. No problem. That plant also gets service as far as I know. Never actually seen them work it though.MSchwiebert wrote:Did not realize that. Thanks for the clarification!

On the way home from work had to wait for the MAW to cross Domersville Road eastbound with #16 leading followed by about 15 boxcars and then number 5 trailing. Not often you see the MAW in "push pull" configuration.

Re: MaW Daily Reports
They must be keeping an engine in Napoleon tonight, as there's a cut of around 10 boxcars just east of Okolona with no engine.
