Northeast Indiana N Scale Layout

Unread post by railohio »

My nTrak club, the Northeast Indian N Scale group in Fort Wayne, set up at a model railroad exhibition at the childrens' science museum downtown this weekend. I made sure to get some photos of the layouts (nTrak and TTrak) for you guys. Unfortunately, I never did get a shot of my train running.

:D Love those IHB C-424's and the IHB transfer caboose!!! Shows you what good painting, lettering and weathering will do for even N-Scale! What was the transfer caboose scratchbuild from, may i ask? Thanks, berkmeister.

You may ask, but I don't know. They're not my models and the club member who owns them picked them up secondhand at a swap meet

I must correct myself in a big way!!! Those locos and transfer caboose are BRC (Belt Railway of Chicago), not IHB (Indiana Harbor Belt). My bad, i guess i should know my paint and lettering schemes, eh? berkmeister

Glad to see some clubs let people from Napoleon in. I was checking in to one of the HO modular clubs around the Ft Wayne area. Their response was in a nutshell, "you live too far to make regular meetings, please find a club closer". Too far ? Needless to say I didn't even both with a response to it.

Still wouldn't mind finding a modular club that would take me in. But it would have to be HO.

There is a really great club in Montpilier, HO scale. Really nice group and fun to operate.

I cant find it esprrfan. I see one in PA and one in OK, but none in OH. Next one I know of is the new show in Monroe, MI. that is replacing the anual "Christmas" one at the Rec Center. That is on the 12th IIRC.

Back in 1997, i visited a modular HO-Scale club located in the basement of a dentist office on the west edge of Bryan, OH. Me and a railfan buddy were watchin' Conrail by the Amtrak station in Bryan, met a fellow railfan at the station. Turns out he was the Pres. or Vice-Pres. of this club. Had a nice-sized layout in that basement with a working double-track drawbridge with warning lights. Wondering if this club still exists; a guy i know who was in the Garrett, IN. club was also a member of this club. I was told this club met once a month. berkmeister
