The Hardees in Owosso is here to stay!
They just got done with a remodel within the last couple of weeks. They added Red Burrito. Never heard of it before but i've heard its good.

If by chance you find yourself in Winterset, IA, there is a Hardees there as well. Last summer, I was there photographing the Covered Bridges of Madison County, but unlike Clint Eastwood in the movie "Bridges of Madison County" I did not meet a pretty girl. .
South of there, in Osceola, IA, is the busy BNSF main across S. IA as well.

There was a similar chain called Friendly's. They had one in Plymouth (MI) that was ALWAYS packed, but it closed anyway. I know they're still around, just not in Michigan anymore. Ate at one in Sandusky, OH after a day at Cedar Point.redside20 wrote:If there ever was a restaurant that disappeared from the state of ohio, it would be......RAX.

No Hardees in Cape Coral. Nearest one is in Fort Myers on Palm Beach Blvd.
1/2 mile west of I75. Bunch of them up near Tampa. My advice is to eat
slow food in a waterfront bar like Double Nickel, The Blowfish or Marker 92.

Re: Fast Food decision chart
There's a Rax in Bellefontaine, Ohio at US-33 and US-68 (in fact there's a picture of it on the chains' Wikipedia page). While there are a mere 13 Raxes left, they are spread out over five states.SW wrote:There was a similar chain called Friendly's. There's one Friendly's left in Columbus and I think the one at I-71 and Bagley Rd. in Berea is still there.

Cory, ironically enough most of the Rax's are in southern Ohio and you are correct about the 13 store locations. down from 40 before the restructuring. here are the ohio locations besides Bellefontaine
Portsmouth
West Union
Hillsboro
Georgetown
Ironton
Wheelersburg
and the kicker! two restaurants in Lancaster..yes two. Why does Lancaster get all the cool, obscure, has been restaurants just like Arthur Treachers and Hardees. they never die

I've never had Rax, is it good? At least for me, it's hard to top Arby's (other than that they're a little pricey).

Here is the former Burger Chef in South Haven, MI.Jochs wrote:I drove by the Wyoming pawn shop over the weekend. The old Burger Chef sign is no longer there.
There is a Chinese Restaurant in South Haven which still has a kite-shaped sign and familiar building.
Note the architecture of the building and the kite-shaped sign.
