Glad that eveyone is ok, that would have been a wild ride on the loco, spinning 180 degrees and rolling over on your side at the same time.

Looks like a double drop deck trailer that had a tarped load on it. Good thing it appears to be a relatively small load.

Happened about 820am in Leoni, Mi. Lead loco on its side south side of rest of train, now facing east, cafe car now facing north/south on north side of track at an angle. !st coach completely derailed but upright, balance of train looked ok. Understand engr had some cuts & bruises but otherwise ok (can't speak for his mental state though) Saw one lady psgr standing around one minute & then on a stretcher going into the ambulance the next second. Only psgr I saw going away, a few other treated on site for minor bruises. Train I believe was going track speed Hulcher called in to pickup loco & cafe car & 1st coach. Psgrs bussed to Jackson.

Just another reason to limit speeds where grade crossings are located to 110 mph. At least it looks like only injuries. Any indication as to how long the truck was stuck before the collision?

A Spike driver and a Ballast tamper just went west through Dearborn, i'm assuming they're heading for the scene of the accident.

No one ever said truck drivers were geniuses and this does plenty to reinforce my views.

What does this have to do with this crash? Speed limit here is no wheres near 110. That is all west of KZOO.

It was bad enough going that speed. Now imagine 150 mph. That is why non separated ROWs are limited to 110.

Ok but most (90% of) tracks that opperate over 79 MPH are grade sepperated. In fact the line in Michigan is the only one that is not, and also the only one outside the northeast cordor that is above 79 and it will be grade seperated just give it time.
