Wow my Youtube channel is having a stellar month. Already 916 views! That is already good for the 5th best month (dating back to 4/2011)! On track for the second 1,600+ view month in a row, after the highest-ever view count last month!

Why does it seem like every time I come on to check what's up on here... someone decides to take stuff too literally or offensively? Like there will be a nice post say about the old NYC in MI or something and it will turn into an all out rage fit on where an interlocking signal was or something stupid of that matter. It's a train website full of information and good times... not a place to come and complain when you aren't right or get your way. Ya don't aleays have to be right or know everything. I just wished more people would relax and be helpful instead of yelling like two year olds because one of them didn't get a piece of candy.
I just wish peope actually realized why they are a railfan more often... because of the trains.
Sry if I have attacked anyone or upset them... thought this would be an ok place to rant without beating a dead horse. Plus Alex is really the only one who posts heree often so yeah.
This is my life. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

If this is a problem get used to it.

In the early 1990's I did 24 hours at Porter and there were 99 trains.

See! There are 100 trains per day at Porter!

The general consensus is that the traffic levels are about the same.

Yes, and it was quite busy when I was there earlier tonight and yesterday.
The difference now is there are more container trains since NS took over the line, and with everything being made in China, that also adds to the container trains. Also, with the internet, more people shop online, so you see more UPS trains than you used to.

No, but I was there about 10 hours. I don't log trains like I used to. I have pictures of 16 trains, this does not include The Lakeshore, Q326, NS 205, and about 8 or 9 other NS trains.
There may not be 100 trains in 24 hours now, but there used to be.

I start 10th in the morning... :(

The only good thing is that the higher grade you go into, the faster the time seems to go. Last year seemed to go by very quickly... But then again, so did this summer :P

I was trying to get the loco numbers off my Porter Videos, and I was having a hard time with files #119 & #159. Here is what I had:

#119: NS Westbound TOFC
NS 9156
NS ____
NS 9515

#159: NS EB Intermodal
NS ____
NS 8953
NS 9156

I was trying to get the missing one for #119 (unable to see it in the video), so I decided to go back and look through the later EBs in hopes that power turned and came back. That's when I found #159 :). I'll leave you to fill in the blanks

And as you get older, time seems to go by faster. When you're 20, 10 years ago is when you were 10 and it is half of your life. At 41, 10 years ago seems like yesterday. I can't believe it's been 23 years since I started my senior year in high school.
