Ethanol trains over ET are a hit and profits are coming in hot. These trains are very efficient becuase they have power on both ends to reduce time going to and from the ethanol plant(Plus its partially becuase the spur is facing the wrong way lol).

TSCR has begun buying the properties that lay on the future site of the Lake Shore Sub from Michigan City, IN to East Chicago, IL where it will connect with the Hobart Sub. Also TSCR has not abandoned its project to acquire the former GTW mainline from Port Huron, MI to Toronto, ONT. The line was abandoned by GTW in the 1980's I believe.

Now I've forgotten, are we keeping a connection in at Annoyance, or are we just putting in new diamonds?

Ok this is what NS has asked me to do, we are keeping the connection and installing diamonds becuase starting in 2017 NS wants trackage rights over MQT to Annoyance and TSCR to Detroit due to WCSR having the former Wabash Line from Fort Wayne to Detroit. CP also wants rights over TSCR to Annoyance and then over MQT to Porter so they can pretty much do what is happening now only over a different line.

Don't make me laugh....CP is staying on MQT...the whole way.

Ok but it will have to go over NS at Porter, plus why would CP go over MQT the whole way when its completely out of the way? Why send CP trains via GR then South outta Detroit and straigh across Michigan? Its just takes longer.

If you saw the contract, you'd see why. Anything beyond that, and I'd have to [insert bad thing here] to you.

But in all seriousness, CP has a sweet deal. 8)

Ok well after your contract expires with us in 2016 have fun paying more for trackage rights over CSX to Toledo and they can handle your traffic, and your intermodal trains to Saginaw will not get interchanged with you and they will go over the TSCR. LOL THIS IS CAPITALISM AT ITS BEST

You don't want our traffic? Okay, less money for you.....

The Saginaw trains go to our yard, not yours, so they'll have to stay with us

MQT Owns track right up to the Ohio Border south from Plymouth. That's where we were going to "move" the interchange (I always thought that is where it was in the first place, but I was wrong).

MQT currently has trackage rights over the TSCR from the Michigan Border to Walbridge/Stanley. Not very far, so not very expensive.

I know but we have tracks going northwest out of Detroit to and south to Toledo so we don't need your traffic it only makes up a small fraction, very small, of our profits plus we could keep the intermodal trains on our track to Saginaw and then give them to you. Plus to get to any other railroad in Toledo you need the TBR.

I'm not worried about the TBR. The STB will make sure I get connections at a reasonable price. NS is forced to give CSX trackage rights from Porter to Pine for the same reason.

Or the STB could say that you use CSX south from Detroit to Toledo because the still have the C&O yard, its still a reasonable price but its more.
