2012 CP Holiday Train Schedule

Is anyone aware of when the CP Holiday Train will be running through Michigan this year?

so when it leaves winsor,canada it will come across the chicago line of "NS"? since CPRR has trackage rights with the NSRR to Chicago.

Well, yes and no.. The CP Holiday train will take the Wabash to Butler than the NYC to Chicago. In past years this move has been at night and I will suspect it will be so this year getting out of Oakwood Yard in Melvindale, MI around 2100 or so. It is the railroad.

i understand The CP Holiday train has taken the Wabash to Butler than the NYC to Chicago in years past. however if you look at there site, it shows a map of it going the CSX to Grand Rapids then south. does anyone if there is any truth to this or will it be going south???

It came thru Sand Creek, MP 65, on the Wabash line last year in the vicinity of 10-11 pm. If anyone has any updates in the Detroit area tonite when it leaves there I would appreciate it. I plan on being trackside. Ron

That can't be right. The show was at 5:30pm. I'd imagine that it took longer to have the show and pack-up to be leaving at 6:00pm.

It used to when the CP had trackage rights. Now it goes the way of the rest of their trains.
