Re: Novi Show this weekend
I'm going on Saturday. Should be good like the previous years.

Re: Novi Show this weekend
I stopped by there today for about an hour or so. Didn't buy anything though... Gotta start saving up for gas money
Wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be, but still a decent show.

Re: Novi Show this weekend
I was there all day, running trains on the N scale layout (the FRD layout). I was really surprised by the small number of vendors and the prices they were charging. Considering how much they charged for parking and then admission, I thought the show was way overpriced.Michigan Railfan wrote:I stopped by there today for about an hour or so. Yep, that layout was pretty neat. I got there about 3, and didn't pay for parking or admission

Re: Novi Show this weekend
Agreed, prices were WAY above what you'd pay at a local show for the same equipment. Managed to snag a new NYC Hat, Rivarossi GN "River" Series Sleeper, a EMD GP40/SD40 Maintenance Manual (still in EMD binding), and a Paul Adam's print all for about $60. Not including parking and admission of course. The Layouts were better this time around, but as stated, really not worth the $12 for admission unless you had a LOT of dough or this was your first train show.
Re: Novi Show this weekend
I liked the show, got 11 AA/DT&I box cars for $5 a piece, a BN caboose, and some decals. Not too many good engines for cheap though
