Marion Railfan Society Meeting April 2013
Date: 4/20/13
Time: approx 7:00 PM
Place: Marion, Ohio depot
Brandon Townley will be giving us another of his great digital shows. If you've seen Brandon's shows you know his style is unique and features many awesome nights shots. A free-for-all will follow Brandon's show.
All railfans are welcome at our meetings. There's no dues but donations are appreciated, and put to good use in maintaining the tower and depot so we can continue to enjoy both for many years to come.
Join us before the meeting at the Shovel Restaurant next to the depot for dinner and railroad talk. We usually start congregating there about 5:30.

They're looking for one that runs on steam. As I tell fellow foamers, we live prefer to live in the past, it's far more interesting than the present. Seriously, between the MVR and Marion group, there's more MVR guys still shooting slides. Stuff taken in the 70s just can't compete with today's stuff for us who were around back then. Speaking of the 70s, last month you missed some great MILW stuff taken around Milwaukee. I thought you might drive down for that! Anyways, we been heavy on slides lately because of all the old stuff that's found it's way to us.railohio wrote:Hasn't anybody else down there bought a digital camera yet?
Stay tuned, there's plenty of digital shows coming, just a matter of getting all these shows scheduled within the limited time available.

Not to hijack the Marion thread, but I wish MVR would do more digital shows. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy it when I go, but we haven't had a digital show since 2011.ELOpr wrote:there's more MVR guys still shooting slides. I agree. There's a bunch of us who have gone digital and want to show our stuff. The MVR needs to buy a digi projector. I also wish they'd get out of Frisch's sooner so we can get the meeting started!
