Boxcars in Manistee

Unread post by lee45174 »

I was in Manistee this weekend and for the first time I can remember, the boxcars/hoppers etc. that are usually parked in the small yard along US 31 north of the swing bridge were gone! I have never seen that yard area empty so where did they go? They were there Thursday but still gone yesterday...

Hopefully loaded with local paper, salt, etc. and earning revenue for MQT.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Might have been loaded in the massive backlog they have now. If they weren't recieving empties from CSX, I bet they used new ones for loading, but of course those loads are still on MQT parked waiting for Bridge Clearance in GR.

We put on a second shuttle driver to load trucks 24/7. To bad, lots of work loading trucks. We can get about 8 rolls in a truck +/-, and about 3 times that in car.
