Re: CSX TRAIN LOCATION UPDATES MAY 2 2013
Z151 was northbound thru GR in the 1600 hour. Had 3002, 2008 & 3003 with 119, looked like all for Manistee/Ludington.

S334 getting on board their train as of 1900, CSX 576 in the lead...Y106 returned with a single geep and 14 cars around 1830. Bids switcher working the transload and rip track. East end yard job switching cars around from the days' arrivals.

Not necessarily CSX, but Michigan State University's switcher is switching coal cars at about 1900

The Phys Plant switcher has been working on unloading coal for the past couple days. While hanging out in south campus I have repeatedly heard them as they cross the service roads.

Q322 is clearing Plymouth. CSX 8513 + 8743 + 44 cars, including some of those same new (or new paint) brown MOCX 3-bay hoppers as in the picture just above. I was wondering what those stood for - looked it up and they are reporting marks for Missouri Portland Cement Company, owned by LaFarge.

I think there is Lafarge facility in Saginaw that is served by the LSRC, perhaps they are going there.SW wrote:Q322 is clearing Plymouth. Re: CSX TRAIN LOCATION UPDATES MAY 2 2013
The MOCX reporting marks belong to The Mosaic Company. They did belong to Missouri Portland Cement from 1947 until 1984. If you were looking at Wikipedia that is out of date info.Chrisracer8903 wrote:I think there is Lafarge facility in Saginaw that is served by the LSRC, perhaps they are going there.SW wrote:Q322 is clearing Plymouth.
