GP40, or -2, or -3 (this is where Evan and MQT start fighting about what type it is  The gondola is for A&L to be loaded with scrap metal.
The red units are GP40s (one is an ex GP40X, but is now simply a GP40. It does have the special trucks, however). The former grey ones are GP40-3Ms, and the former blue/purple/white ex rocky mountaineer units are now GP40-3s. For a unit-by-unit listing, complete with paint schemes, see the LSRC/SBS Wiki page.

The sb HESR is going through Lennon, MI right now on it's way to Durand. HESR 2028 and HESR 2029 for power.

Wed. Mid-morning: LS headed back south with four or five gondolas full of scrap. Interesting, though, when they headed north, both units were facing long hood together. Red, white and gray (4301 maybe) was leading. On the return trip, both units were long hood out and 4301 was leading again. Only engineer in the cab. Another thing I noticed is that I think only the lead unit was running on both days. Pretty good hill behind our campsite and only one unit was producing a smoke plume. Turbo was giving a good sound show. Have not seen a train since.

Grand Elk is currently blowing for 100th Street south of GR. Sounds like they are heading north.
