Fostoria Meet - The People
Wanted to start up a thread for our Fostoria times that is separate from the train sighting reports, which I'm sure we'll see soon
Anyway, had a great time with everyone down in Fostoria. Very happy with the turnout that we had, and had a few unexpected guests. When I get a chance to edit, I'll get some "people pictures" online from our festivities. Lets see if I can remember who all came down:
Scooterb(Scott), Capt CAPS(Pat C), DR(Dane), GLC 392(Steven), Mackinac Mac(Mike), GPM30M4216(Nathan), TheEmpireBuilder(Wade), SD70accsxt700(Matt), Redside20(Luke), SousaKerry(Kerry), Gregg Pullano, Mr Tops(Bob), Raildudes Dad(Tom), JT(Jim), cnw8835(Jon H), rsinoms(Russ), SD40-2(James), James's Dad, esprrfan(Duane), GJ(Gerald), and Y@ Heilman.
well, there's 21 people... am I missing anyone? Didn't know Duane was there until later...
Met a few other railfans from out of town (WI group and some from Maryland) along with the dude in the taurus.
Ellen stopped by, few brief though.. want to thank everyone that came down, had no real issues the entire time... You guys made it a very enjoyable weekend, and very glad I took some time to have a getaway weekend.
Now lets see some people pics!

With all due respect some of the pictures make you guys look...well...kinda light in the loafers if you know what I mean
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
hahahahaha I'm sure you and Matt can share stories of those rides.Mr. Tops wrote:The close up of me was taken while riding down a dirt/ballast path in the back of DANE'S pick-up truck in which HE was DRIVING. To put it bluntly, I'm happy to still be alive.
Dude, that shot of you next to the High St. box is awesome.
Okay, I have an album for these shots, so I'll just post the link:

Sorry I could not make the Fostoria meet~~~~~ Had to work. Looks like everyone had fun! Did I read something about ANOTHER portacan incident?????? PAT C??? I STILL OWE YOU A DRINK AT THE RAIL! I still think with my construction skills we could ADD a bank of windows to the trackside of The RAIL bar and make that place really railfan friendly!!!!!!!! Hopefully everyone was well behaved and had fun. Thanks to Zack for running this VERY INFORMATIVE and popular railfan board. Growing up in the 1970's as a young railfan I would have been on this site 24/7. I missed my railfan friends who know me this weekend.......While I was working I was "thinking" about you guys!!!!(some of you know what I mean) I still need to meet some of the newer members of Railroadfan.com.........JT, espnrrfan,Signmasters, etc.....
