Good times! Although I'm glad I didn't capture the large moon on the bridge.CAT345C wrote: The best parts were Russ's behind, Steven falling down the bank and the awesome hand off to the conductor....and the real life railroad commentary.

The falling down the hill was the best part, but I had already stopped recording.J T wrote:Good times! The fiasco on the bridge, well, another reason to not upload that clip!
Although, my camera's resolution probably didn't capture that too well anyway...
The Half Moon Lake was fun too.
Re: Marquette Rail Santa Express
The "Moon" was a shock to me, too! I'm glad the poor crew was not blinded.

Re: Marquette Rail Santa Express
Will this train run for 2013? I couldn't make it last year. I know the railroad is owned by G&W, but are they still operated by the same employees? If so, I could see it running!
If it does—I'm sure they will use an "Orange" loco! I want to see the Marquette Railway for the first time!!!!

You can bet on the 3389 or 3391 for power, as the 3390 is still dead it sounds like. Probably no GLLX Caboose though...amtrak1007 wrote:Announced for December 14... schedule TBD.Robertrains wrote:Will this train run for 2013? I couldn't make it last year. From a very reliable source I have been told that a train will run. I also know it will be led by an engine currently on Marquette's roster. It will have some cars trailing. Oh and fat creepy old white man who breaks into your house and eats your cookies and milk will be aboard. I was also told that a Marquette employee will run said train north to Ludington and Manistee from Comstock Park. Oh and magic will be in the air, Praise the Baby Jesus Christ!!!

The GM told me personally that they will be repainting the 3001 into its huritaj scheme. Also they will be borrowing a CP Rail xmas train unit to provide additional holliday cheer. Consist will include cars from the Coopersville and Marne Railway along with some cars coming out of STL owned by Midwest Railcar.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
