JOCHS WAS SIGHTED AT THE AMERICAN LEGION IN NEW BUFFALO DRINKING A CAPN MORGAN AND COKE WITH CAPN CAPS.
HE WAS THEN SEEN CHASING AMTRAK 364 INTO NEW BUFFALO.
AFTER THE AMTRAK DEPARTURE, HE DISAPPEARED INTO THE BLACKNESS.
AND THE STORY CONTINUES.

This thread is about as random as the man himself.

You people are slipping.

Rumor has it that I may have been around Durand, Owosso, and Ashley today.

Re: JOCHS N FOLKS SIGHTING
Is Jokes scheduled to be in Cornstalk Park and beyond on the 14th? I have not sighted the dailup faithful in awhile.
Re: JOCHS N FOLKS SIGHTING
Possibly, if the weather isn't too ugly and I don't have to work.MQT3001 wrote:Is Jokes scheduled to be in Cornstalk Park and beyond on the 14th? I have not sighted the dailup faithful in awhile.
I was able to escape the lake effect snow but turned into a Jochscicle when taking this photo in Ashley
When the sun went down it went from chilly to downright cold! Even Santa had to go inside at Ashley because of the cold..

Just saw him today several times: Half Moon Lake, Grant and Newaygo.
He needs to learn where to park
Photo to prove it in due time.

Re: JOCHS N FOLKS SIGHTING
It is an inside joke. He was told to park in a different spot at Half Moon Lake by the police. Nothing more, just a teaser.trnwatcher wrote:He's old enough to tell you how to park....Y@ wrote:Coming from someone who isn't even old enough to drive...
Jokes by MQT3001, on Flickr
The man himself posing for the other guys. I'm sure they'll chime in with 5 of the same picture, but photos or you were not there!
Re: JOCHS N FOLKS SIGHTING
I had originally parked up at the stop sign on the side street right there, and a state police officer stopped and asked if I was broke down, I said I was waiting on the Santa train, then he told me I should park back farther, so I moved to the stop sign on the road going off the road that intersected M-37. I was moving just as MQT3001 showed up.Y@ wrote:Coming from someone who isn't even old enough to drive...
Here are my photos.
A lot of trees in the foreground appear to be ash trees, which will probably be dead within the next few years thanks to the Emerald Ash Borer. Not sure how long it takes for them to fall over after they die.
And my apparent fans.
I can confirm that I was in Manistee.

Re: JOCHS N FOLKS SIGHTING
If you do video, you can have obstructions and still have a good shot, because the train is alive, not frozen. Those trees are not that bad, IMHO.Jochs wrote: A lot of trees in the foreground appear to be ash trees, which will probably be dead within the next few years thanks to the Emerald Ash Borer. Re: JOCHS N FOLKS SIGHTING
The trees are bad and need to be cleared out.

Halfmoon would be a good spot for that next spreader testing...J T wrote:The trees are bad and need to be cleared out.

Agree 100%. Should I bring my chainsaw to prep the location first?CAT345C wrote:Halfmoon would be a good spot for that next spreader testing...J T wrote:The trees are bad and need to be cleared out.

I brought up the idea of a volunteer caboose hop to cut trees for those of us that wanted firewood. RA didn't like the idea though.

What they don't know can't hurt em! Maybe those trees can just "disappear" and we didn't know what happened! BTW, jw, are those trees on RR property?CAT345C wrote:I brought up the idea of a volunteer caboose hop to cut trees for those of us that wanted firewood. RA didn't like the idea though.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
