Re: Random Thoughts
My internet is a Verizon Mifi Jetpack. Did they have those in 2001?

No but the earliest experience I had with Mifi was I wanna say 2009.Jochs wrote:My internet is a Verizon Mifi Jetpack. Did they have those in 2001?
The leap from Dialup to Mifi is pretty substantial...especially if you're running 4G...but I suspect you have 3G.
I suppose the guys can't crash you with pictures in the chatbox anymore...that was LMAO material way back then...

The display says 4GLTE. Sometimes it shows 3G.MQT3001 wrote:No but the earliest experience I had with Mifi was I wanna say 2009.Jochs wrote:My internet is a Verizon Mifi Jetpack. Did they have those in 2001?

This is what I use for internet most of the time, when I am not at McDonald's, Taco Bell, a library, or on other public wifi:
The display is a little different though, showing two wheels in the lower left-hand corner, and a globe with the word "data" in the lower right-hand corner.

Re: Random Thoughts
I have passed the 40,000 views mark on YouTube. It has been the fastest 10,000 benchmark yet.
Last week established a new week record, with 719 views, passing the previous 646-view record set this summer.
Last month also established a new record for monthly views, with 2536 of them, passing the previous record of 2304 from August.
Things are looking up for the Thornapple River Rail Series!

I hear it's one of the previews just before the Hobbit.
Also, there was another trailer that was at the San Diego Comic Con earlier this year, and in addition to Godzilla, another monster was in it attacking an airport in that trailer. So, Godzilla will be fighting other monsters in this one unlike the other American remake.

Re: Random Thoughts
I like how they are transforming Godzilla to resemble more up to date thinking how dinosaurs looked, lived, walked, etc. I lol when I see older Godzilla movies where he is standing erect, huge mid-body and legs, etc but I still watch them However, I would like to see Godzilla at least bleed a little when he's hit by a missile instead of just swatting at them like their pesky flies. Com'n, they're missiles they should hurt, right?atrainguy60 wrote:Also, there was another trailer that was at the San Diego Comic Con earlier this year, and in addition to Godzilla, another monster was in it attacking an airport in that trailer. Re: Random Thoughts
There better be a 1TB external hard drive under the tree...I'm down to my last 10GB!! Copying stuff over to the 16GB Flash Drive so I can save my latest video work.
My Hard Drive is 320 GB...which is a lot unless you stuff it full of your 1080p video collection.

Re: Random Thoughts
I wonder what the percentage of old films from the 1930's through the 1960's started out with a train scene. Seems like almost every movie I tune into the the ol' TCM channel starts out with a train or in a train station.
I'll admit the ones I tune into are the old comedies.
A few recent ones
Dear Heart - 1964 Film - Woman getting off a train in New York
Midnight - 1939 File - Appears to be a train scene from or to Paris
People Will Talk - 1951 Film - Can't remember if it started out with a train, but there was an entertaining train set scene.

Re: Random Thoughts
Poop...I just realized I only ever filmed the GLLX 3001 in HD once...Glad I got my camera when I did...I'd only had it for about 3 weeks! Of course I've since shot the 3389 a half dozen times.

Re: Random Thoughts
You'll have to go farther away, like to Cancun. We're still stuck with AMTK 54/AMTK 90413 on the Pere Marquette. We want to see hurritaj!MQT3001 wrote:LIVE from Washington, DC
Don't we always get hurtiaj when you go to Cancun.
