CSX GRE Train Location Update 10-17-07
1 crewman at the GRE. NS dropped off 3 cars the night before and it looks like CSX dropped off some Kings, maybe more last night. AMTK 31 and 3 Horizons on the NS outbound track this morning.

Rolling in to work, great sunlight, good spotty fog, and no trains... ugg...
Track inspector working between Seymour and Elmdale, asked when trains would be rolling by, saying he expected Q335 soon.. dispatcher laughed..said they weren't even by Plymouth yet.

east waverly after p371
since p371 went west this morning the following moves have happen
y121 went east to zeeland approx 945am
k910 went east at 1027am
y121 returned to waverly approx 1055am
x500 went east at 1242pm - 2 motors and 45 cars ( 32 general cars
and 13 tri-levels )

A couple years ago I caught X500 going over the Thornapple River with a couple Red Barns for power in the fall. CP really added some diversity, especially in the winter when there's some snow...SteveHiuzenga wrote:I caught CP 500 going through Zeeland about 12:50

n956 eastbound
n956 eb by wast waverly at 616pm bnsf 9917 & 5888 for motors ( crewed by a d802 crew ) - 544 axles 130 cars - bnsf 9952 & 5662 pushers on rear of consist - ( crewed by the n956 crew )
d802 called all signals going east
as the pushers crossed 104th ave the following was asked
" d802 to n956 - give us a 3 notch or so to help us get up and out of zeeland"
here it comes n956
a min before the end transmission of the detector the following
d802 to n956 that will do thanks
n956
if zeeland grade needed help - the pushers will have to help all the way to
mccords min if not elmdale

Around 715pm Just watched them go by pleasent helpers still on the rear, also before that came by there was a CSX train WB all I got from the scanner 74 cars about 4thousand somthing feet. Then the WB BNSF with emptys came by about 15mins later. Sorry I dident catch the CSX symbol

938pm - e945 - bnsf 6085 & 1 in trail ( must have changed out power at
wyoming - possibly due to min fuel requirements of bnsf at chicago -
bnsf has a min gals of go go juice per engine - 1500 iirc - at handoff in chicago - if below min bnsf may not accept the train, many emails and cell
phone calls then occur. doc please help out here if i'm astray on this. )
back to east waverly at 938pm - e945 has 6907' of train - 504 axles - 123 cars. going main to siding at east waverly
938 - p370 clear east saugatuck clear 30
941 - e945 restricting in the siding middle waverly
943 - p370 clear 27
945 - e945 clears east waverly ab and power switch
946 - p370 clear holland
952 - p370 clear west wye
953 - waverly
953 - e945 - slow clear siding to main holland
955 - p370 - clear east waverly
next should be d700 after midnight - followed by 327

Took a road trip to Sunfield today, I96 to M66 and then M-50 back. USBio had 2 tracks of covered hoppers south of the building and 2 hoppers coupled to a trackmobile on the track that goes through the building. No tankers visible. Saw 3 double bottom grain haulers going in and out while I drove by.
There was a cut of loaded flats at American Pipe in Alto and a number of tanks at the propane place . Odd thing there was they were all separated, or at least the ones I coldl see from M-50.
On NS about 3:00 PM, there was a ratty box by the tower being hand loaded with looked like cardboard boxes of "stuff". There was a sign near the driveway "World Missions" or something like it. Both the sign and the box were gone when I went by again about 7.
